Dr. Brian Gray, PT, DPT
Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist
Dr. Brian E. Gray is a Lead Instructor for Double E Education, LLC. He graduated with honors with a BA in Exercise Science from Columbus State University in Georgia and earned his DPT at the US Army-Baylor Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He has over 23 years of military experience and currently serves as the Chief of Rehabilitative Services at Fort Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Gray has served as the subject matter expert for stress fractures and injury prevention, and served in Iraq taking care of our forces while deployed. He specializes in orthopedic manual physical therapy and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. In 2013, Dr. Gray was awarded the prestigious Order of Military Medical Merit for his contributions to military medicine. He has been performing trigger point dry needling since his initial training in 2010 and has been instructing dry needling with Double E PT Education since the inaugural class in 2012.

Dr. Mary Kay Hannah is a founding partner and lead instructor with Double E Education, LLC and has had an interest in dry needling in physical therapy practice since 2004. She trained for trigger point dry needling through Kinetacore, Evidence in Motion, and Dr. Ma. Dr. Hannah graduated from the US Army-Baylor University Graduate Program in Physical Therapy with Masters in Physical Therapy in 2001 and later earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy through Baylor University. She practiced physical therapy as an Army Physical Therapist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, and with the 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan. After retiring from 23 years in the Army, she practiced in her own orthopedic and sports private practice in Apex, North Carolina from 2010-2017. Dr. Hannah is a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association since 2009, and a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist since 2014. After serving as an adjunct instructor at Elon in various capacities from 2012-2016, she joined the Elon DPT program as full-time faculty in the musculoskeletal curriculum at Elon University on March 1, 2017. She is an active participant in the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association (NCPTA) and serves as a Delegate to the American Physical Therapy Association's House of Delegates. In October 2013, she was awarded the NCPTA's 2013 Outstanding Physical Therapist Award from the and is the 2015 recipient of the Olive V. Wortman Service Award and the President's Award. In September 2015, Dr. Hannah was presented a national Advocacy Award by the APTA at the Policy & Payment Forum in Denver, Colorado for 3 years of ongoing work to update the PT practice act in North Carolina.

Dr. Randall Lazicki is a Lead Instructor with Double E Education, LLC. He has been incorporating various application of dry needling including Gunn IMS, electrical dry needling, and trigger point dry needling for over a decade. Since his initial certification he has continued to develop advanced understanding through extensive mentorship with fellowship trained pain management physicians, advanced training, and original discovery. He is an invited speaker at local, state, and national conferences and recognized subject matter expert in the field of sports physical therapy, performance training, and practical application of dry needling.

Dr. Frank Tudini is a Lead Instructor for Double E Education, LLC. Dr. Tudini graduated from Daemen College in Amherst, NY with a M.S. in Physical Therapy in 2000. He went on to receive his DScPT from Andrews University in Michigan in 2009. He obtained his Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in 2012 by the American Physical Therapy Association and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists in 2014. He also become one of the first Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist in Connecticut in 2015. Currently he is full time faculty member at Campbell University teaching musculoskeletal content. To date Dr. Tudini has published 7 Physical Therapy book chapters and 7 journal articles and has led several presentations at the state and national level in the area of orthopaedic manual physical therapy.

Dr. Megan Brunelle serves as an Assistant Instructor with Double E Education, LLC. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Athletic Training/ Sports Medicine in 2010 and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014, both from Quinnipiac University. She currently serves as a contracted civilian physical therapist within U.S. Special Operations Command. Prior to her time with the military, Dr. Brunelle worked five years in Intercollegiate Division I Athletics, providing injury care and management to athletes at Quinnipiac University. In addition, she also served as an adjunct professor and clinical instructor in Quinnipiac’s athletic training program.

She has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting for almost 20 years and is the founder and owner of Evolution Physical Therapy and Wellness in Cary, NC. She has been involved in entry-level and post-professional education for most of her career and holds adjunct faculty positions at Elon University and Duke University School of Medicine. Jessie earned her Masters in PT from Shenandoah University and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics (OCS) and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT.) Jessie has authored several articles and presented nationally and internationally. Jessie continues to expand her skill set by becoming certified in dry needling through Double E Education and is completing a 2-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program.

Dr. Matt O’Neill serves as a laboratory assistant with Double PT Education. He is a 2007 graduate of Elon University’s DPT Program. He received his Board Certification in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in 2012 and became qualified to perform Trigger Point Dry Needling in the state of North Carolina in 2014. Matt then completed his Therapeutic Pain Specialist Certification and Fellowship in the Pain Sciences through the International Spine and Pain Institute in 2016 and 2019; respectively. Since graduation from Elon University, Matt has been treating a wide variety of orthopaedic and persistent pain conditions in the hospital-based outpatient setting at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory, NC

Dr. Monica Zimmerman serves as a laboratory assistant with Double E Education, LLC. She graduated from Russell Sage College with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1991 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2009. She has worked in various physical therapy settings for 29 years including orthopedic outpatient, sports medicine with UNCW and NCSU, neurologic rehabilitation, and inpatient acute care. Dr. Zimmerman has worked in the human gross anatomy lab with Duke Physician Assistant Program and is adjunct faculty with Elon University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program in Human Gross Anatomy Dissection Lab and Orthopedic Examination courses. Dr. Zimmerman has practiced Trigger Point Dry Needling in NC since her certification in 2016 with Double E Education. She currently works as co-founder and co-owner of Elon Physical Therapy in HIllsborough, NC. Her broad clinical background and understanding of human anatomy adds immensely to our courses.
